<p>I’m sure I wouldn’t, but it would depend on the class. My intuition of morality would be to sacrifice myself to save people smarter than me. If it were one other person, and that person were smarter than me, I’d probably let that go (put in the situation). But a whole class of people smarter than me, I would sacrifice myself.</p>

<p>Umm, I’m pretty sure when it came to the actual situation, you’d want to survive. No one instinctively, “wants” to die, as moralistic as you may be atm.</p>

<p>Unless the class happened to be composed of the most obnoxious people I’d ever met in my life, then I would tell the gunman to shoot me. No question. To those who say that it’s impossible to overcome our instinct for survival, it’s true that this is the case for the vast majority of people, but for a small percentage of the human population I beg to differ.</p>
