If a school's deadline to send in scores is Feb 15, can I take SATs to Jan?

Will I be able to take the SAT in January? or is there a cut off for testing eventhough the deadline is in Feb? This is USC if it matters.

This year, the Jan. test date was the 24th with tests scores posted on Feb. 12th. I don’t see that the Jan. 2010 test date has been set much less when the scores will be electronically sent to colleges. Why chance it? Take your SAT in Dec. at the latest.

I want to take reasoning and subject test as many times as I can so I wanted to know how many chances I would have. I have never taken reasoning and I have only taken two subject tests and did bad :(

In theory though, if dates were similar, I could take up until January, right?

The schedule for tests in the '09-10 academic year should be posted before the end of the year, as well as USC’s deadline requirements. At that point, you should be able to make a decision based on that. Generally speaking, the test dates don’t vary hugely from year to year. However, when the result come out can. For some reason, the results from the March testing took a week longer than usual.

I STRONGLY recommend that December be your latest take.
