It seems from logging into my stony brook account that I have been accepted. I applied under EOP as I didn't know what it was at the time and my guidance counselor just told me it would help my chances of getting in. I would like to know if it is now possible to see if I can get accepted by regular admission. As I don't think I would be able to attend the Required summer session for EOP applicants and want to attend stony brook's university as I have heard many good things from relatives and friends who went there. Is it possible to see if I would be admitted under regular admission without applying under EOP.

They will mail you an admission packet. It will be more elaborated by then. When I applied 2 years ago, I also check off EOP (just because I'm dumb enough not to know what it means). But when the acceptance letter come, it told me I'm not qualified to be in the EOP program, but I'm admitted to the regular admission. So they will let you know if you're accepted through regular or EOP. If it's EOP then I don't think they'll put you under regular.

Dan - when you get your letter, it will tell you whether you've been admitted EOP or not. If you never sent your financial information to the admissions office, then you were admitted under the regular admissions program; there's a second step to the process before you're admitted into EOP.
