If Accepted as a Junior Transfer...

Would I be allowed to do things such as take a gap year between my junior year and my senior year? Depending on what (if any) school I'm admitted too, I believe this might be needed to be pursued for various reasons. Are school's policies regarding a gap year different for transfers?

Also, say if I got into a school as a junior transfer and relieved for my major combination I would need more than 2 years to finish, would I be permitted in general to pursue 3 years (making a total of 5)?

At my college once you transfer you are considered “the same” as someone who entered as a first year, so yes transfers can take a leave of absence if they needed to.

The extra year to graduate will depend on the particular institution.
