If accepted at UNC do you think chances are good at UVA

<p>No, of course I don't put homeless in the same category. My point is sometimes it's hard to take the precautions because it means offending someone. For instance my mom was asked to help some strangers who asked her to help lift a lady into a van which entailed her going into the van. I watched in horror from across the parking lot as I saw her disappear into the van with some very sketchy looking people. It all ended fine as these people simply needed some help. She NEVER should have put herself in that position. She got lucky. Asking for help and using one's good nature is a common tactic.. as in asking a child to help find a lost puppy. My point is sometimes it is very hard to do the safe thing. People who are out to harm us know that. My mom said it felt very dangerous and all of her senses told her to not help, but she chose to help instead of letting fear rule her. She agrees that she should have very quickly said, of course I'll help... let me run in the building and get some help.. stay right here.. I'll be right back.</p>
