If accepted, will you say yes....

and make a pyre out of all the other viewbooks on Friday night?

or will you continue to apply to other schools?

it would depend on the financial aid for me

YES. for sure.

for sure for sure for sure.

i would say yes in a heartbeat.

After having a getting-in celebration with myself, I'd laugh like a maniac while sending notices to Harvard, Dartmouth, and the UC's (the only apps I've sent in so far), telling them that YALE BEATS THEM ANY DAY.

I've applied to all my schools already. I'll have to wait it out, as believe it or not Yale is not my first choice but it is one of the top few.

I'm going to apply to MIT as well. I want to apply to Stanford on top of that, but my college counselor says that's not fair - I'm taking up admissions officers' time when I'm not really going to go to that school. Still, I guess... this is really immature, but I kind of just want the feather in my cap if I do get in to those other schools. (If I don't, it won't matter, as I'm already in to my top-choice school!)

Well, MIT isn't just a feather-in-the-cap school, actually. In the unlikely event that I get into both schools (read: extremely. unlikely.) I'd have a difficult decision to make.

first, i would scream and cry like a little sissy girl. and then yes, i would say "YES YALE, TAKE ME TAKE ME TAKE ME!"

just like that.

If by some miracle I make it in, I'll scrap all my other apps, the ones that are both completed and in progress (they're completed but not sent yet b/c I don't wanna spend the app fee until I know I'm deferred/rejected) ... I'm a very lazy/cheap person -_-

Add to that:
make a cozy little bonfire out of all SAT books, AP books, application material (unless its really important).

Ummmm... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would say yes even if they said I had to be a janitor there part time. I kid you not. I'd do anythingggg

I guess I will only apply to MIT and Princeton because among the 3, my first choice changes every day. But since I will not get in, I still have to work at the essays for my other colleges.

This is when the table turns and the accepted evaluate what Yale has to offer at what cost. Undoubtedly, Yale's stats are stellar, still it's their turn to be judged. There's an irony there.

rationally speaking, i'd have to look at financial aid first.

but YES. i probably won't send in the applications that i haven't paid for though. but this is wishful thinking.. so i'll still have to complete my essays.

Maximus, that's a good point. It kind of makes me want to get Yale on the phone (if I get in) and ask them obsessive questions about their engineering school until I stress out the person on the phone and then go "HUH? HUH?? HOW DO YOU LIKE IT NOW??? BEING JUDGED? HAVING YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE?" and then they will laugh at me and say "You're one of thousands, we don't care about you. You know you'd still give three of your limbs for Yale." And I'll scream "BUT NOT THE FOURTH!!" and hang up the phone in tears.

Ahem.

i have no problem with $160K in loans if i'm accepted to yale :)

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
but alas ! in DREAM

I am so with you guys! GO YALE!

yeah, I was thinking of only applying to harvard if I get in early, but now i don't even know if I want to do that since I only have 2 sat2s, and i'd have to take one more in january...

i would still apply to other schools...for financial aid, for one thing, and also i'm not sure if yale is my first choice. i might rather go to williams.
