If all of your reach schools reject you...

...where will you be going and, more importantly, will you be happy there?

Yale counts as a reach school, so don't count on it :p.

I will most likely be going to Wheaton (IL). It's a very good, Christian school near my house. I'd be happy going there because I have a lot of friends that go there and I'm pretty involved in things at the college even though I'm still in high school. One thing I do dislike about this school, however, is the close proximity to my home.

How about you?

Hmm, that's a good question (and a really important one).

Probably NYU for me

probably Columbia University (SEAS).

I'm soooooooo just kidding by the way. HA. Could Columbia be a safetly for anyone? For me, either NYU or BU (BU has better engineering, but I LOVE NYC)

University of Michigan (I live in state)

Either Boston College or Villanova... (Georgetown is a reach right?)

I think it has to be. I'd love to say it's a match for me too, but with a school like that, I don't think it's a match for anyone.

Washington is a match
Binghamton is a match
Boston University is a match
Northeatern is a safety
and my ultimate safety, Penn State, has already accepted me.

I dont know where id end up going, but so long as its big enough and far away from home, then yay.

I'd probably go to one of my safety schools: Princeton or Harvard.

I would go to Hamilton, or Trinity, but then again I probably will get into Vassar and wesleyan

haha, good one. I'd be at Tulane, and yes, I'd be happy. :)

If I don't get into Yale (and possibly even if I do), I'll most likely be going to Wake Forest. Georgetown is probably better for my interests, but I absolutely adoreadoreadore Wake. It's just too beautiful.

I'd end up at either Smith, Mt. Holyoke, or Wellesley. I'm almost positive I'd be happy at one of the three.

Go ASU Sundevils!!!

UVA (i'm in-state...) but i'm also applying to mary washington and w&m

Vanderbilt, Rhodes, BU, or (God help me) Northern Illinois, just because the stupid Vermeer Quartet teaches music there... why there?

NYU baby. it'll hard not to be happy in nyc

Whitman College which is a small but highly ranked LAC in Washington, I would definitely be happy. It's a great school.

Seems like NYU is the official safety school for anyone with ivy league ambitions.

Well, if I don't get into Yale, my next choice is Dartmouth. If I don't get in there ('cause it isnt exactly a safety), probably Wellesley? Not sure.

I'll go to Harvard.

No, seriously, I don't have any "safeties", exactly. In the words of my wise roommate 'e1dj86', "there are no safeties if you're applying for financial aid". For international students, that is. My "safer" schools would probably be Sarah Lawrence, Lawrence, Bard, and USC, in no particular order. It would be no use getting in if I can't afford to go, however.

Incidentally, I just got another conditional offer - this time from University College London (UCL).
