If any of you could redo, would you choose UCLA?

If my daughter had gotten into UCLA, I’m pretty sure she would have chosen it. Much cheaper for one thing. She prefers the area more. My husband got his MBA at Anderson School of Business, so he’s shared a little bit about the school and surroundings. When we visited both schools last summer, she and her friend who was with us, both got a better vibe at UCLA. Even though USC has the 5 year BA/MA program she’s interested in, it would have made fiscal sense to major in Pyschology at UCLA and *then *apply for the 2 year grad program at USC or maybe somewhere less costly.

BUT…that didn’t happen, so here we are on the USC forum because that’s where she got admitted. Not chopped liver, by any means. ;)

However, for financial reasons, I can’t promise that the letters U-S-C will be next to her name on the “admitted list” here. We shall see tomorrow! I will definitely update her status. :)

My d recently chose to attend USC over UCLA for music. USC was so welcoming and the message was -we want you because you are so wonderful. At the UCLA arts admit day, it was you should chose us because we are so great. The whole alumni relationship at USC will be so beneficial in the future too. USC really rolled out the red carpet ( or should I say crimson!) No contest as far as she was concerned and her parents too!
