...with the Character Review Board proccess. Or the USNA application itself. I'll be glad to help. I got my appointment in early February and I had to clear up some past things with the Character Review Board before I could get my appointment. I will be glad to help anyone I can.

Coltonzors, i was jus wondering..is the application automatically complete when you submit everything or is there something else you have to do to complete it (someone told me i might have to call CGO and tell them everything is in)?

I had vaguely mentioned an incident in my personal statement about a time that I had alcohol, and they asked me to clear that up for them.

I wrote some great (and true) responses, which my BGO showed to the nomination interview panel. One guy was completely sold on me before he met me because of my responses, so it actually turned out to help me.

You can still get an appointment for suspensions and arrests. I don't know about expulsion though... The character review board really isn't that big of a deal. You just write what happened and how you learned from it. They realize everyone makes mistakes, so if you get arrested, it's still possible to get in (ask me how i know...).

Yeah, I had to deal with the Character Review Board, too. It's not really that big of a deal. Just make sure that you learned from your mistakes and are convincing that it was in fact a mistake that will not be repeated.

Sorry I haven't checked this thread in a while.

You can get into the USNA with suspensions and arrests. All the Character Review Committee is just a screening to make sure that there is nothing to hinder your gaining of a security clearance.

When dealing with the USNA CRC make sure that supply them with MORE than enough information. You want to make CERTAIN that you show them you are willing to cooperate and that you are not withholding ANY information.

I personally had to go through the CRC and was approved. Now I am working on my Security Clearance and getting ready to explain the situation all over again. But I know that it is a closed cased and the USNA knows EVERYTHING already.

It it perfectly alright to feel discouraged when going through the CRC, against kids who have perfect records, but remember IT IS WHAT IT IS. Just be very proactive with them and supply them with MORE than enough information.

what are my chances of getting into USNA if i am homeschooling my senior and junior years of high school in the same year? in other words fast track high school...and just starting the admissions process in the summer of my senior year?

That certainly shows that you're motivated. However, I'd take classes at a local community college. I have a friend who did this after his senior year because he didn't apply between his junior and senior years. He ended up being selected very early in the process.
