<p>If a student gets a deferral (or rejection) from an ED application, and they begin sending their application to many other colleges as a result, do the recommendations remain attached to the app or does the student need to contact recommenders again??
There will be new essays, I know, but what other work is needed from the student other than the school specific essays? Does the student have to run around getting recommendations for every school they apply to?

<p>It’s not a problem to assign previously invited recommenders to new schools after ED1 decisions are received. Recommenders only need to be invited once through the common app. Once a recommender is invited, he or she can be assigned to any school on the applicant’s list, even schools that are added later during the admissions season. To assign recommenders to additional schools, go to the dashboard and assign them on a school by school basis.</p>
