If I am 24 but still live with my parents, would I be considered an independent?

I am waiting until I am 24 before transferring to University since it is to expensive for me to afford. If I lived with my parents for the next two years and save money, I'll put a significant dent into amount needed to attend. However, if I am still living with my parents when I am 24 am I even an independent, or does it not matter?

Also, I am turning 24 in 2014, but I will not be 24 by the date of filing the FAFSA or the first day of school, but I have seen some information that states turning 24 in the year of attendance qualifies you.

For FAFSA you are considered independent at 24.

It doesn’t matter if you live with your parents … if you are independent due to age, you are considered independent for financial aid purposes.

Freaking awesome! Moving out I’ve have less savings and would need to take out another $4,000 in loans to cover what I would be deficient in.
