if I applied for financial aid late, is there a possibility of being FA-waitlisted?

Something's been bugging me.... I missed the financial aid deadline (I was really clueless filling out the form and I had to research nearly every field box, which wasn't fun with existing schoolwork), and I read of someone who was waitlisted for financial aid at another school for the same reason.

How worried should I be...?

You're not necessarily "wait-listed", but you are at a disadvantage than others who got it in on time. UVa only has so much money to allocate to people, and they divide it up based on the info they get from people on their forms. Most likely you'll get less than you should have, but it could depend. The big factor here is how late your stuff was. If it was a week or two late, I wouldn't sweat it, they most likely were still filing other applicants' info. But if you just sent it in within the last few weeks, there is a definite possibility that you're not in the best position you could be in.
On the flip side, I'm pretty sure loans don't matter as much as school FA, so you'll still be eligible for loans and such from the gov't.
