If I applied to Wharton, could they have accepted me to [regular] Penn?

As the title says…I applied to Wharton and was waitlisted…could they have accepted me to the regular school if they just didn’t want me at Wharton? And should the decision turn into an acceptance (I know…I know. Shhh.), will it be for Wharton, or possibly regular Penn college?

Thanks guys…

I don't think so. When you apply to Penn, you apply to the particular school.

Wharton only.

I believe they do provide an option when you apply..

no, you apply to a specific school. The only way you can apply to more than one school is if you apply to a joint program (such as Huntsman, M&T, etc.) where you will list your first choice school. There is no way to have a safety 'pullchord' where you can be rejected from one school then accepted to another.

thanks guys. makes me feel better, ever so slightly.

Jerome Fisher all the way!
