If i apply this year and get rejected to a UC then apply next year will that affect their decision?

So I want to apply to UC Berkeley Haas as a Junior transfer, but I am still in my first year of community college. I will have finished all my pre-reqs and most of the 7 course breadth pattern (which doesn’t have to be completed before applying.) I will have 60+ transferable units due to APs. I will have all my classes as work in progress basically, but by the end of Spring I will have all my necessary courses completed. So basically my question is if I don’t get accepted (odds are highly unlikely) and then I re-apply next year when my transcript is much more filled-in with full GPA and what no, will they look down upon my application after already applying once.
Thank you, any response is appreciated as the UC Berkeley contacts have not been very responsive and my counselors are idiots at the school I attend (OCC.)

No, they will not. If you take a second year, try to do internships/clubs/etc.

I will say there’s a term, pride comes before the fall. Not to put too big a point on it, but Haas is never a sure thing. So keep that in mind. ;))

It won’t affect you in any way. Haas is so small that they could even read your statement the following year and remember you from the previous year, and it’ll just show perseverance. The example I mention is something they told me a few days ago that has happened.

I had such a bad 2014 cycle. I was rejected from just about every single school I applied to - even my safety of CSULB. I sucked it up and tried again this cycle and every school that had rejected me (USC, UCLA, etc.) had accepted me this time  I honestly have no idea if they remembered me. I know that my ID number was the same for USC and that I was given a new “reader” for my application this go around, so maybe somebody else would check out your file if the worst happens and you don’t make the cut this application cycle.

thanks for the input
