Williams

Brown

Amherst

Amherst: a LAC but with a college town

Penn: A little big and impersonal, but a fun Ivy

Williams: Too small for me, but a strong college experience

WashU: Not Ivy reputation yet, but I like the size/ environment

Cornell: My least favorite Ivy, too big, too sciency, grade deflation

Middlebury: I like the LAC community, nice location

Bowdoin: I like Midd better

University of Virginia: Love Charlottesville, not so hot on UVA's culture

Vanderbilt: Like size, but doesn't strike me as open-minded enough

University of Texas: Austin is cool, but WAYYY too big

IDK why you would want other people choosing your college but:

Brown
Penn
Dartmouth
Cornell
WashU
Williams
Amherst
Middlebury
Vanderbilt
UVA
UT
Bowdoin

I agree Slipper, good capsule descriptions :)

definitely UVA, Penn and Vandy runner ups.

why uva first?

cheap, has the prestige of thomas jefferson, acc football and basketball, good looking students. what's not to love?

^^^ LOL ... also, beautiful campus, er, "grounds"...

not that cheap for out of state - can we leave money out of the rankings - ill worry about finacial aid when the final decision time is to come

My top choices would be Dartmouth, Vandy, Penn & UVA.
