My order (although this is kind of stupid since everyone is different and what matters is where YOU feel comfortable, NOT what other people think of your school)

Brown

UVA

Penn

Middlbury

Cornell

Wash U

Amherst

Dartmouth

Bowdoin

Williams

Vanderbilt

U Texas

Although Newfoundgirle I would argue that your ranking makes little sense when looking for fit (example why Midd so high and Williams/ Bowdoin so low, they are very similar). UVA and Brown could not be more different.

yeah newfoudgirlie taht is weird

calvinn y do u add random schools?

They are indeed different, but each has its appeal. I love both schools so I can see why they could be next to one another on someone's list.

That said, I'd have put Williams, Amherst, and Dartmouth higher on my list, but that's just me ;)

BTW - the schools on the top of the list were schools I'd actually considered, while schools further down were ones I'd disreguarded during my college search. Although many of them I placed highly are different, they do each have their own appeal to me.
Middlbury's language program is what mostly attracted me to the school, not its type or location, which explains why Bowdoin, Williams and Dartmouth were lower.

UVA is somewhat near DC, a big school, all things I was looking for.
Brown is not so far from Boston (what was important for me was that schools be in the 2-3 hour range of either DC or Boston) and has an open curriculum.

Both of these things appealed to me, so this is the explenation (although one was not needed) of my list.
Not that it matters because this whole thread is sort of pointless becase its all based on such personal opinions. I don't understand how this could possibly help the OP.

OMG, was it intended to??

I thought it was just another excuse for inane chatter about our favorite and not-so-favorite schools ;)
