<p>I'm in grade 12 right now. My grades in grades 9, 10 & 11 were decent, but not great. If I do amazing this year and do really well on my SATs and do some more extra curriculars and volunteer work do I still have a shot? Basically... even though I haven't done great before and I do like everything this year do I still have a shot or am I screwed?</p>
<p>You need to provide a GPA and SAT scores for people be able to chance you.</p>
<p>It kind of depends on how bad your GPA and your SAT scores were; but I would not apply early decision if you’re planning on working really hard this year.</p>
<p>My GPA is about 80% but I’m really determined to get an average of at least 90% this year (I didn’t really try before… I know… stupid mistake). I haven’t taken the SATs yet, so I’m not sure. But if I did do really really well, would I have a chance? And no I’m definitely not applying for early decision.</p>
