If I don't accept my offer now, will I be at a disadvantage?

Hey guys so I got accepted to NU (thank you God!!!) via EA, and there is a strong chance I will go there in fall.

However, I am planning to apply to a couple of sschools via regular decision too, just because at this point I can afford to take that chance!!

But if I don't put in my deposit soon, will I be at a disadvantage in terms of getting better freshmen housing? or any other things I am unaware abbout?

Also, I am an international student and recieved NU's international scholar scholarship (15k/year during undergrad) so will any of this be affected??

Thank you!! :) Go Huskies!!

Your scholarship is set. When you choose to accept should not affect this scholarship now that it has been offered.
As for housing, I believe it might have an impact once they release the housing form for you to fill out, but I do not think that is for awhile yet (unless I’m mistaken, not until after RD so that they can pair you with roommates). If you’re in Honors, though, you’re guaranteed IV housing, so it’s less of an impact. And since they’ve moved to putting all freshmen in LLCs, which one of these you choose has a greater impact on where you will live.
The most important thing, though, is that you are making the right choice of schools. I believe in another post you said you hadn’t visited NEU yet. I would wait until you visit to make your final decision. I don’t remember what Northeastern’s policy is, but at a lot of schools your deposit is refundable, so you could submit it to guarantee your spot without locking yourself in. I’d check on NU’s policy, though!
