In this case, how should I notify the school (I've already signed up for classes, but not paid the tuition) and would it be possible for make up those classes during the summer and be caught up by next fall?</p>

<p>Summer sessions at Berkeley are about half the length of semesters, so a given course will be about twice as much work per week compared to the same course in a fall or spring semester (and a normal course load in the summer is about half what a normal course load in a fall or spring semester is).</p>
