If I don't take an AP Science class, will it hurt?

Hello. I'm going to be a junior next year, and we've received out scheduling forms. I'm interested in going into either law or economics (obviously not science related). I'm currently taking AP Bio and Chemistry, but I'm thinking of doing this for next year's schedule.

AP Lang
AP Calc AB
AP Econ
AP World History
Physics
French V

Will the lack of an AP science class hurt in any way, even though I'm not really interested in science? Also, I typed this on an iPhone, so sorry if there are horrible grammar mistakes.

Is there an AP Environmental Science class you can take? I hear that it is the science class for people who don’t like science. If you can, I would really recommend taking an AP class.
Good luck!

Not being offered at my school. I’m just not that interested in science. Physics is still going to be a pain in the butt, but I’m just not interested in AP Chem (the only other science option available) because math is my weak point.

Depends what schools you’re applying to. But in general, you want to take as many AP classes as possible. That may mean dropping physics or chem if you are not going to take APs. However, doing one or two science courses will demonstrate you’re a “well-rounded”, “academically stimulated” student.

Speak to your counsellor if you have one, just know there is some trade-off with the options.

I’m taking Chem right now. Physics is my plan science-wise next year, and if I like it, I may do AP Physics senior year. Thanks for the help though! I’m trying to balance out my lack of a science AP by taking another social studies AP, something I’ll actually enjoy.

I feel for you. I hate science with a passion, so I was in a similar situation. I implore you to not take AP Chem, because there’s absolutely no need for it unless you’re becoming a scientist.
I think colleges will understand if you are majoring in English, history, etc. and if you have great grades in those types of classes.
