If I don't take calculus in high school do I have a bad chance at a good college

<p>I am a sophomore in high school only in algebra 2 right now so I thought it was a better idea to take stat and AP stat junior year instead of pre calc then AP calc my senior year. I could take pre calc senior year but does it hurt me if I don't take AP calc? These are my other AP classes:
AP bio
AP environmental science
AP stat
AP pysch</p>

<p>I want to get into a good school like UMD
Maybe AP lit</p>

<p>You’ll be fine if you do AP Stats.
I have a friend who never did Calculus in high school and he now attends Harvard.</p>
