If I get 3 7s on my essays what would I need on the MC to get a 5?

I am more or less starting to consistently score 7s on the essays, sometimes a bit lower or a bit higher. My question is, what percentage of questions do I need to get right to be on point for a 5?

I know that the grading scale changes every year because scores are given out relative to the other students' performance, but what is the general guideline, more or less?

42 or so, depending on the curve (AP Lit–probably not too different for lang)

<a href=“AP English Language Test Score Calculator - AP Pass”>http://appass.com/calculators/englishlanguage/</a>
try using this

42 percent or 42/56 or however questions there may be?

(for most Lit tests, 42/55 and three 7-scoring essays will yield a 5).
