If I get a C- will I get rescinded?

Self-explanatory. If I get a C-, not a C will I get rescinded? Because I am in huge danger of that in my AP Chem class....

I don’t know for sure, but probably not. A lot of high schools don’t even give +/-. In addition, at Berkeley a C- counts as a pass in most courses, so I don’t know why it would be any different for prospective students (and to boot, it is an AP class).

For HS
C- = C = C+
B- = B = B+
A- = A = A+

so you should be fine.

One C should be fine, but I would advise against getting 2 or 3 Cs. I knew someone who got rescinded because she got 2 Cs in the 2nd semester (even although maintaining a 3.0 GPA UW).

i had 3c’s first semester with 2.8 uw gpa. and 2nd semester no c’s. 3.5 uw.

Did you still get in 88888?

Yeahh and I even got an F first semester in AP calc but they gave me a second chance as long as I get a 3.5 unweighted this semester. But trust me one c isn’t bad as long as your unweighted gpa is 3.0 or higher.

Yea… thank goddd im here. =0 scary.

It doesn’t matter how many C’s you get, just make sure your unweighted GPA is at least 3.0 and you are not getting ANY D’s or F’s.

Woah, really? Because on the admissions conditions, it says:

It doesn’t really specify the number of allowed C’s, so I’m assuming that doesn’t play a part. Hopefully. :)

is it only for UC approved classes, IE the ones that would have gotten calculutated into your UC GPA for admission? I have six AP classes and I could fall below a B in any of them except AP Phys and Calc so I’m starting to get worried if my filler classes aren’t allowed to boost my UW gpa.

Nope! I actually emailed the admissions office about that since I have a C- too, and they said just no D’s or F’s with a 3.0+ unweighted GPA.

It’ll be fine. I go to Berkeley and I have friends who’ve straight up failed courses without any repercussions. One of them got an A through F one semester of senior year --as in an A, B, C, D, and F. It’s totally fine.

so for the 3.0 uw gpa requirement for second semester, art a-g classes like photography count right?.. cuz right now i have
prolly a C in AP Stats
B in Contemp lit
B in AP Econ
A in Photography
