<p>UT admissions is best thought of as a long shot unless you are in the top 7-8%, and even then you may not get the major of your choice. Look at A&M - I think it has surpassed UT and does a better job of managing such a big school.</p>
<p>I’m just outside of auto admit at 8% and have a 2030 sat, but I know how hard it is to get into engineering. I was wondering if I could possibly get into the university but not my major even as a non auto admit.</p>
