If I go to UCSD's summer program, will that benefit me when applying?

<p>I'm a junior and UCSD is my dream school to major in Media Arts. I just realized they have an Academic Connections program, where you can stay in their dorms and take one course for 3 weeks. If I were to take the Photo Essay course, would that help me next year when applying early admission?</p>

<p>My understanding is that UCSD does not offer early decision or early action.</p>

<p>My understanding is that the UCs do not require or expect recommendation letters.</p>

<p>So I would think that the answer to your question is that there is no benefit.</p>
