I'm out of town. I understand the people who were accepted received a postal mail.

Because I'm out of town, I can't check my postal mail. However, I just received an email today from UCI telling me to apply for financial aid by march 4. Does that mean I have been accepted? Or does everyone get it?

I don’t mean to break your bubble, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve been accepted. That is probably a universal reminder that they send to everyone.

However, CHP admittances were released online on Valentine’s Day, and I got a letter in the mail today. So do check the application portal.

All regular, non-CHP, non-Regents decisions are supposed to start coming out on March 1st. So be patient! Good luck.

I tried to access my portal but am unable to.

Friend got the same financial aid email Thursday and postal mail yesterday. I got the financial aid email yesterday and can’t check my
Postal yet.

Isn’t it strange that I got one from UCI but nowhere else?

It might be a universal one. I got an email yesterday saying my application status has changed, so when I checked it it said I was admitted into the CHP program. I’m OOS and my friend got the same email yesterday too.

It doesn’t mean you are accepted, but you need to apply for financial aid for them soon (the FAFSA) if you want financial aid in case you are accepted.

From my understanding only people who got into the CHP or Regents have been admitted. I was admitted to the CHP, but two days before I got the email that my application status changed I got another email about the CHP event, which my friends who haven’t yet gotten their decisions did not, but they did get the financial aid email. So basically if you got the CHP I think you’re in, but if you only got the financial aid one you’ll have to wait until March to hear back from them.
