Have you heard from Harvard??

...I think it's becuase everyone knows me as the "smart kid" in school, so they're all expecting me to get in; <<

This is the burden my younger daughter (a junior) bears. She gets comments and questions constantly. And not just because she is smart but even more so because her sister is at Harvard now. People figure she must know some sort of family secret or insider knowledge on how to pull it off. For this reason I don't think she is even going to apply to Harvard.

EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. Some people make me list all the schools I've applied to, and who I've heard from yet. I'm going to make a t-shirt that says "PLEASE don't ask me about college."

(Same experience as OP. I didn't read other people's. I don't really make a big deal about the fact I'm applying, because it's actually not my first choice. People just assume I'm applying to HYP. Oh wait, cuz I am. They must be telepathic!)
