i love my iphone-how bad is att service?

outside- manageable.
inside- mostly nonexistent
I am going to switch as soon as my contract expires (very soon!). I basically get no service inside of my room, which is a major problem. In your case, I recommend keeping your current service at least until you get here and figure out where you will be living / working / hanging out / etc. The ATT service really can go from no signal to full signal in a matter of feet, so it may work out for you. Anyways, you will be able to decide whether or not you need to switch fairly quickly.

I have seen a number of iphones on campus, so people are using them. I believe the iphone can be unlocked, so some of those might not be using att. So if you don’t mind losing your warranty and potentially damaging an expensive phone, that is another option (although you still can’t use verizon or sprint- cdma vs. gsm). In any case, your iphone should work off of mit wifi, which is nice.
