GPA: Our school does not do GPA
Rank: Our school does not rank
School type: New York City Public, but you only gain admission into it in 7th grade after passing its admissions exam, which is only offered to students who scored in 90th percentile in citywide exam in 5th grade. = Very competative and and one of the most prestigious high school in Manhattan (Hunter College High School)

SAT: 2000 (M670, CR660, WR670 Essay: 9) <-- I am retaking this in october, projecting to get 2150 + (been stuyding for this exam for 8 months after taking it in january)

SATII:
Biology: 700
Chemistry: 700
Math IIC: 630 (retaking, i was sick that day, hoping for 750+)

Grades:
Now here is where i have the most problems. Our school submits a high school transcript to colleges beginning 8th grade. I slacked off horrendously in 8th and 9th grade. However, hopefully colleges will completely disregard the 8th grade grades. I have worked MUCH harder and have tremendously improved my grades sophmore and junior year. hopefully, colleges will notice the upward trend

8th grade average: B-/B
9th grade average: B
10th grade average: A-
11th grade Average: A-/A (more leaning towards A)
12th grade: Working my rear off, hoping to get A/A+ (which i think will happen at the rate and intensity at which i am studying)

11th grade courses:
**note that our school only allows us to take APS beginning 11th grade, and we are only allowed to pick 2 electives. However, in order to take AP chemistry, i also needed to take physics with it, thus unable to pick another AP.

English IV B+/B
Physics A-/A
AP Chemistry A/A+
US History B+/A
Honors Precalculus B+/A-
*note how everything but english rose second semester junior year

Senior courses (very rigorous):
AP Psychology
AP English Language and Composition
AP Biology
AP AB Calculus
Adv. Drawing/Painting
Biology Teaching Internship

APS taken:
US History: 5
Studio Art - Drawing: 5
Chemistry: 3 (witholding this one)

Extracurriculars:

Executive board member of our Asian Cultural Society for 2 years (member for 4 years)
President of the Art Club for 3 years (member fo 5 years)

***This year, I'm also applying for ARTISTSWANTED competition (winner gets his/her own free show in manhattan and $2007) and im applying for the NFAA competition (National Foundation for the Advancement of Arts) I have high expectations for NFAA because, since i was accepted and attended the Marie Walsh Program, I am automatically placed into the intermediate judging, where approx. only 20% of the original applicants (usu. 8000) are judged --> HUGE advantage for me

Work Experience: I worked for 2 years, about 2-4 hours a week at North Shore Animal Hospital

Teacher's Rec: AMAZING. one from USH teacher, and one from AP chem teacher which should be absolutely shining

Supplements: Portfolio that was judged a being very solid and amazing in National Portfolio Day

Besides Art, I am also deeply in passion with medicine and and ESPECIALLY chemistry (subtopic: Gases).

Carnegie Mellon

******PLEASE suggest colleges for me that are matches/reaches/safeties

***and please realize that i AM going to raise my SAT score. i have tremendously improved my writing, and most of my math errors were due to careless mistakes which i can now catch

and please give me more than yes/no answers. please give me honest critiques that are honest and thorough but not intentionally mean. and please gives me methods on how to maximize my chances (other thn SAT I)

thanks
