My ACT score is great, but my SAT score is not so great. I was thinking about only sending my ACT score, but I have awesome SAT 2 scores: 800 Math2C and 780 World History and some other mid 700s on other subject tests.

If I send both my ACT score and my SAT score reports (which will have my SAT2s) will they consider my SAT score? Would they ignore the SATs? Or should I only send my ACT score?

I know that Brown will see both my SAT scores and my SAT 2 scores. But if I send my ACT score as well, will they only look at the ACT score and ignore the poor SAT score? Will it be a disadvantage for me to even send my SAT and SAT2 scores?

Schools will say that they look at the higher score. I don't know if it always works like this in all cases however. Say it came down to two applicants, essentially equal in everything including their highest test score, but there is a difference in the other test?

That said, CCers tend to have a distorted idea of what is a poor score. Given your other scores, I don't imagine the SAT I is bad at all.

If it were me I would send in both sets of scores. I think the high SAT IIs would more than make up for the lack of a spectacular SAT I. If the latter score is inconsistent with everything else in your application, I would think admissions folks would view if like you just a bad day.

What you could do is send the scores, then take the SAT I again. If you do better, send another score report. If not, leave things alone.
