if I SIR...

will anything really happen if for some reason i decide to not go here? my friend got accepted (we are transfers) to UCSC, UCSD, U of Hawaii, Iowa state, and some other schools... SIRed with all of them and said he is not worried...

i want to sir so i can see how much i am going to get with fin aid.. kinda important and im nervous about it. please let me know if you have any info!

Yeah!! You can only SIR to one school only!! This is the school that you are going to attend next fall. When you submit your SIR, you have to pay $100 dollars. The thing is that if you withdraw your SIR from the other schools, you lose your $100 you paid for to submit it. Can’t you just view your financial aid estimate in the financial Aid portion in Tritonlink?

where is that?^

and its not asking me for any kind of payment for my SIR… and it didnt ask him for any either?

even so, if i did sir would all it do is take my deposit if i did withdraw? or would i get rescinded?

Maybe you were waived the fee because you receive financial aid. If you withdraw your SIR, you won’t get back the money you deposited. But the point is, stop messing with the system and only pick one school to send your Statement of INTENT to register that you INTEND to attend because you are just taking space away from people who might be waitlisted. You probably won’t get rescinded, but it seems as if you can only submit your SIR to one UC anyways.

If the UC’s catch you submitting more than 1 SIR, they WILL rescind your admission and give it to a waitlisted kid.

Anyway, don’t do that, it’s definitely a ****** move. For every SIR you submit at a school you aren’t sure you will be attending, that’s one more kid that won’t get that spot.

Submit an SIR to the school you INTEND to REGISTER for.

you can view your financial aid by logging into myapplication and then click on “continue to the admission status page” down below your acceptance letter…then click on “My Financial Aid Preliminary Award Notice” on the top… the cost of attendance and everything is laid out for you.
