<p>If I enter the University as a sophomore (because of IB diploma program) will I be required to declare my major by the end of my first year at McGill? I know that most universities require students to declare a major by the end of their sophomore year, but if I'm only technically a U1 do they use different requirements?</p>
<p>If you start in U1 then you declare before you begin the year when you choose your courses (a few weeks ago for those entering Fall 2012).</p>
