If I take it again, will I look like a prick?

It seems that the trend's going, so I'll ask the same.

800 Critical Reading/800 Math/760 Writing (2 omit; 10/12 essay)

Should I retake? Or maybe get it rescored? I know I haven't omitted a single question on practice SATs since 7th grade, but is a 2400 worth the $50 or so, especially on the writing section?

Hmm taggart thats tough. if it were math I would say go all for it. But writing changes... you may get lower or higher. Who knows. But eh.. i dont know.

If you didn't omit and it says you did, definitely request a rescore. I may be misreading what you are trying to say though.

If you received a score of 2320 and think it's possible to score "substantially higher," you don't understand the scoring and should give your high score back :-). A score of 2400 is only slightly higher than 2320, and given the way the SAT is scaled, doesn't represent a perfect score. It is possible to "earn" 820 or so depending on the scale, even with 1 or 2 wrong, and that score will be reported as an 800.

Bragging about 2400 over a 2370 reminds me of the old saying: "I'd rather stay silent and have people think I'm stupid than speak up and remove any doubt."

personally, i think you'd be nuts to retake anything that is 2250 or higher. What would be the purpose of sitting for 4 hours to take a test in order to go up 10-40 points? If I were an admissions officer I'd be like, why is this kid studying for a test that he/she did amazing on already...when he/she can be doing something more productive that will make him/her a more interesting person on campus. Sorry for the rant.

Cool...I'm DONE!!!!
Thanks guys! :)
