I'm at GW-they gave me way more financial aid as I was an out of state applicant at the UCs. I talked to admission officers primarily, but they never asked for my name. Some of them were very sympathetic and the one's at Berkeley and Santa Barbara were particularly nice. They went to a lot of effort to see if there was a loophole.

Oh okay I see. Haha glad it worked out for you (:

But yeah, thanks everyone for your help. I feel a lot more relieved and less worried now!

eternalallure -- I would call and verify if they want you to send the summer college transcripts. I am pretty sure they do. I honestly would not jeapordize your university admissions by omitting this information -- they are pretty upfront about requiring the information. Your admission can be rescinded if they find out you omitted the info. Look at who the advice is coming from -- the adults are telling you to send the transcript and the kids/students are telling you not to. qwilde could still have her admission rescinded or her diploma taken away if GW finds out she lied on her application -- is that something you want hanging over your head all your life?

There is a clearinghouse that lists all college attended -- you never know when a school will check this.

My guess is that one C in a summer college class taken long ago will have no negative effect on your admission.

You were in college classes in middle school and got a C? That's nothing to be ashamed of - in fact, it's something to be celebrated. It's a damned good grade for a 12, 13, or 14 year old! I think colleges would be more impressed that you took the courses at all and not care that much about the grade at all. It shows that you took initiative, that you are intellectually curious and willing to take intellectual risks. That's the important part.

In fact, I not only think you should tell them and send the transcript, but I think you should highlight it in either your essay or in any Additional Info section they have, to remind them that you weren't even in high school yet when you did this.

Firstly, hsmomstef I'm a male, but an easy mistake to be made. Secondly I never said I lied on my GW application. GW doesn't care if you have previously taken classes. And finally don't be so hyperbolic. They would not take a diploma away after it had been granted.

qwilde, you have a lot to learn. Schools have in fact revoked degrees after they have been granted.

You're right. I have yet to be able to pull off condescension quite like you do.

augh. i guess i will have to call and verify later on when its about the college applications time... but still, it seems like colleges and stuff don't want to count anything before 9th grade. i guess i'll see later.
