I took the ACT (didn't take the SAT at all) and did well enough on it.

I also took World History (800) and Literature (770) for my SAT subject tests for UCs. For a lot of private colleges I'm looking at, if you took the ACT, the SAT subject tests aren't required.

I'm for sure filling in my SAT subject tests on the common app, but I'm wondering if I should send official SAT II score reports if they're not required. I mean, I'd like colleges to see them, but I'm wondering if I can get away with self-reporting and skip the college board fees.

Policies vary about whether schools accept self reported scores, but most schools don’t. A phone call to each the admissions office is the fastest way to get answers.

These are great scores that can only help your application. You’ve worked hard for years to earn these scores and now you are questioning sending them? Divide out your top choices, send the scores. Send them to a couple of reaches if the are not already in the top choices. You may already be airtight at your top choice, but you might get aid. By the way, I believe the UCs all share scores. Only send them to one and you are covered. Double check that, but I’m pretty sure.

Those are wonderful scores – DEFINITELY send them, even to colleges that don’t require/ask for Subject Tests. Those scores can only help your app.

I really think you should. You don’t want to look back on any decision or award and think ‘I wonder if this would have made a difference?’ Give your best application, all your scores showing your potential. Then you know there is nothing more you could have possibly done.
