If I want to get into Stanford do I have to take psych?

<p>Hi I'm a senior in high school right now. I've only taken world history honors and ap us history. This year, I'll also be doing government and psych.. On the Stanford website they say that students admitted typically did 3 or more years of history/social studies. Does government/economics and psych count as a history/social studies class? </p>

<p>I'm reconsidering taking psych because I want to be able to get good grades first semester and do well in my extracurriculars and study for the sat altogether.</p>

<p>Government count as history, I only took three years of history since I hated it and am at Stanford now. Don’t take psych if you think it will hurt you. Do take rigorous courses in your other subjects though.</p>
