If i wanted to major in biology and "minor" in spanish

...would i have to apply to CAS or could i do the same thing in CALS?

or can i enroll in CALS and take classes in CAS

Not a student yet, but:

As i understand it, you can minor wherever you want, even across schools. Double majors is a little bit trickier between contract schools and non-contract schools.

Also, you can major in bio at CAS, but i've heard that it's usually a lot smarter to do CALS, especially for a nys resident becuase the education you get is really no different.

yea i realize im not a student yet....i was just wondering...thanx though

i think he was saying that HE isn't a student so he wasn't sure.

what i have heard is that theres no such thing as a minor, it's a "concentration" that just shows up on your transcript and you get it by taking so many courses in the subject.

Besides residing in NYS, why is it a lot smarter for bio majors to be in CALS over CAS? Are there any other reasons besides the price difference and requirements?
