Transfer from where, a CC? If so, then most definitely.

You would just have to keep up good grades, and do extra curriculars that are relative to the major you plan on transferring into. This point is important because the transfer specific question asks you to explain how your extra curricular activities apply to your major and how they have prepared you.

transferring is so much easier. They don’t look for your academic ability. Just come up with some sort of hardship in the next 2 years and you’ll be good. no tests, easy community college classes, dumb peers, middle school level instruction, etc. CC is the better way to get into any UC.

^Wow, that’s kind of a low blow on transfer students.
The transfer students I met here are as smart as or smarter than many freshmen. And, they tend to be a lot more mature. I know a couple transfers who were accepted to Cal from high school but decided to go to community college for financial reasons.

And as someone who’s seen what community college transfer is first hand, I’ll tell you that the majority of transfers don’t have financial hardships. Most get admitted because of the double standard admissions system.

I don’t think Berkeley specifically keeps your freshman application, but if you got in from high school then you’re stats are probably competitive to get in again.

Idk, my point is that there’s a whole lot of dumb freshmen here too. So it really makes no difference to me whether a person came from community college or not… they’re pretty much on the same level as Cal students
