If I were an aerospace engineer...

I have to write a paper involving a career in a science field that I find interesting. I have always loved airplanes and spaceships but I really have no knowledge of any of the more technical sides of the field. Can anyone tell me things that an aerospace engineer would do/build? What kinds of scientific principles would they use on a daily basis? Any good or bad things about the job? Any and all help would be absolutely wonderful, thanks!

What does this have to do with columbia

there are engineers at Columbia right?

columbia does not have an aerospace engineering program

I figured since Columbia is such a great school that maybe someone would have some information about it. Sorry guys, I didn’t look up if Columbia had a program in it, I was just asking a question.

Also this is a website to do with college admissions, not a place where the excellent Columbia engineers convene to help high schoolers explain why they want to be astronauts.

ok really I get it. And fyi, on other schools forums at least, parents and moderators are quite knowledgeable and occasionally someone has a lot of information to impart upon us lesser mortals, so again, I am sorry that I asked this question here.
