Essay topic: The end justifies the means." Agree or Disagree

I most certainly disagree with the statement, "The end justfies the means." The examples of William Shakespeare's Richard II and the nuclear bombing of Japan verify the error of this position.

I kind of make my intros the same way, except for this I would say something like "The end does indeed justifies the means." The authenticity of this statement is exemplified with Shakespeare's Richard II and the bombing of Japan.

is it okay to do this? (I am not hijacking ludo1207's thread; answer his question first)

Exactly! Always fill your SAT essays with an abundance of germane information.
You must fill all of the space given for the essays. Show no mercy to the CollegeBoard!!!

Your intro is way too short. By putting that one point in the intro, you are in effect saying that that will be the only point you will concentrate on for the entire essay.

If you can, that's great. But going on and on in an entire essay with only one point isn't really going to be easy or effective in my opinion.
