<p>I’m not sure if being gay would help you in admissions but as long as universities are using sexuality as a factor in admissions I see no issue abusing a bad system.</p>

<p>I have not seen any evidence that colleges are trying to boost their numbers of gay students by attracting more gay applicants. I’ve only seen evidence that colleges don’t want gay students to turn down admissions because the gay students fear they aren’t welcome at the college.</p>

<p>Colleges don’t just want minorities, they want underrepresented minorities. There’s no evidence that I know of to suggest that gays are underrepresented at top colleges.</p>

<p>Colleges that have significant LGBT populations aren’t out recruiting more. Colleges that don’t, most likely are perceived as not-as-tolerant (think Liberty). At these colleges, that reputation is most likely reinforced subtly or overtly by their admissions anyways (i.e. anti-gay bias). So if you try to pull your “gay” act at those schools, you’re sunk.</p>

<p>Plus your morals stink. Maybe since you’re at a defining point in your life (about to graduate HS), you should reset your standards and focus on the type of human you want to carry yourself as for the rest of your life.</p>
