If i'm studying for that sat's...

it wouldn't KILL me to try the act, right?

It’s a pretty different test. SAT measures test-taking ability and ACT measures what you’ve learned in school. There are more rigorous time restraints on the ACT, also. I perfer the ACT and would definitely suggest you to try it out.

ok cool.

actually, not cool, but u get the meaning…

honestly I dont think its amazingly different from the SAT. they are both much, much different than any other test i’ve ever taken, and comparably are pretty similar.
I’d say its similar to the SAT. of course, many diff question types, strategies (like guessing etc) and sections, but there are a lot of similarities.

Ive been studying for SAT, took ACT practice test (they give you one free) and was doing pretty well. I think like a 31 on math and english.

I studied like a beast for the SAT, took the ACT just because, and scored much better. Go for it!

yeah cuz people i know scored like a 34 on the act and did

miserably on the sat

Make sure to know the difference between the kind of essay question each test asks for. Look at tips in PR as to what the scorers are looking for on each test.

hey wat ACT score is equivalent to a 2250 on the SATs? i need help comparing wats a good and wats a bad ACT score

correct me if i’m wrong, but i don’t think you can compare the two scores, as they test different things.

it’s better to compare the percentiles of an SAT score and an ACT score.. that’ll be more accurate than just simply converting the scores (because of the differences between the tests)

[Estimated Relationship between ACT Composite Score and SAT CR+M+W Score](http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html)

satcrazy, heres the converting site.

so far all i have is the red book.

i’m gonna get started on that as soon as i get my cr up in the 700’s for sat.
