If I've already submitted...

If I've already submitted my SAT scores (with essay score) do I have to wait for the essay score on the ACT to be released before sending my score? Or will colleges that require essays use the score from my SAT essay?

depends on the school in question; your ED school superscores whatever you send them, so, yes, they will use the SAT essay score if it is higher than your ACT (or if doesn’t get there in time)

No idea about other schools…

Thanks for the reply rodney, that’s actually what I’m concerned about. I applied ED (to Elon!) and want to make sure my scores get there ASAP so they can be considered for admissions. I actually emailed my Elon admissions counselor with this question but she’s away for a while and I’m unsure when she’ll receive the email. I’m definitely a little paranoid right now, but just want to make I have a good shot and my ACT score is far better than my SAT scores.

Would you say it’s worth it for me to send my ACT score (without the essay score)?

call them and ask…I don’t know how fast they will get there, but I think reading is being done online for ED with committee reconvening next week? but I"m not sure about dates…

I’m not really sure if the ACT score will be counted for ED but you should find out…and if you already have a writing score on the SAT, no, you don’t need one on here…

How’d you do on the ACT btw? I’m assuming well…

Thanks for your help, I’m just going to submit my score now. And yes, I did! I got a 30  which for me is very exciting. I’m usually terrible at standardized testing!

Wow…that is terrific!! congratulations…
