If my ED isn't my first choice, can I opt out by claiming the financial aid package isn't enough?

<p>@OHMomof2‌ - Agreed, although most schools will give you a read on aid you can expect if you ask them to. So at least you aren’t applying ED blind. Similar to that, if you can’t get the financial info together before you are ready to send in the application, you can always apply ED, ask for a preliminary analysis of the aid package you could expect during the time before decisions come out, and if it doesn’t look good withdraw your ED application. Nothing unethical about that in the least.</p>
