If my long term goal is to work as a research scientist for a biopharmaceutical company, what should I get my undergrad degree in? Molecular Biology or Biochemistry?
I personally prefer Mol Bio. to Biochem, but I was just curious as to which has more to do with the creation of biopharmaceuticals?

Also, what would I get my grad school degree in? Biotechnology? (Not Pharmacy-- right?)

(Btw, I'm posting this in the other topic too... I don't think very many people look at the science majors topic lol).

There are many routes to getting a position in a pharmaceutical company. You can be employed with just an undergraduate degree as a research technician or you can pursue a PhD to gain a higher position. A MS degree does not provide any significant employment advantage.

Many majors would be appropriate. The most significant issue is gaining “hands on” research experience by working in an active research lab during your academic year or during your summers at home
