<p>Separated is treated the same as divorced, in FAFSA's eyes. Only the custodial parent's info (that's the parent you spend the most time living with) goes on the form. Leave the non-custodial parent info blank.</p>
<p>I have a related question. I am an international and my parents are not legally separated, but having been living apart for about 11 years, in different countries. Do they fill out separate ISFAA forms? Does my dad (not living with us) have to fill in the International Noncustodial Parent Statement? Thanks!</p>
