If No financial aid is needed, is it easier to get in?

Fortunately, I am in the situation where I do not need any form of financial aid and I have applied to Columbia GS for the Spring Semester. Does this have any effect on my decision?
Thanks,
Katie

I'm not sure, but aren't admissions to either CC, SEAS, or GS need-blind? Therefore it your financial situation shouldn't matter in the admissions process, but rather the strength of your app.

^^Unless, of couse, you flaunt it someplace in your application.

I may be mistaken, but I believe Columbia is need-blind for domestic applicants, but need-aware for international applicants. A quick look through the Admissions site didn't tell me whether it was or not.

^Yes, the admissions officer at my information session stated that Columbia is need-blind for domestics and need-aware for internationals.

Okay thanks for the information. I was just wondering if anything had changed because of the current economic status.. if you hear anything, let me know! :)
