Are you a Junior? Would you say what part of the country you’re from?

Yep, I’m a junior, from the northeast, which totally doesn’t help!

Your GPA is excellent, your SAT is good (did you literally fall asleep during the test?) and your ECs are amazing (mainly your engagement on research). Getting a 2100+ SAT will certainly give you a big shot at Barnard.

Your summer programs, legacy and alumna contact (even though they aren’t admissions criteria), will surely demonstrate your big interest for that school. Keep motivated and aim for good scores.

You’re right on the cusp. I had about the same GPA/SAT as you (2100), from the northeast, white girl from a similar public HS, applied RD and was waitlisted. Getting a better SAT score and those great ECs will hopefully push you over the edge. Good luck!

Hmm you should consider trying for bs/md programs. You’re EC’s are great and you would probably stand a great chance at privates.
However, keep in mind the bsmd programs are harder to get into than ivies in some ways, but i dont think there are some that dont put as great an emphasis on GPA.

Yep, I literally fell asleep during the test…i only had 5 mins to do one CR section, then just kept dozing off. At this point, it’ll be a 2130 at least, probably in around 2160. I’m not interested in bs/md bc my mom is a professor at a top 20 med school and im guaranteed admission and 1/2 price tuition , so I just want to have a great college experience.

So what are my chances for the other schools?

more thoughts?

Updated with a 2290 SAT. Chance me?
