If only, one would help another brother out..

Hello, I am a junior at a private high school in Los Angeles. From the start of high school, I thought I’d be going to a UC college. Therfore, I took almost all the requirements for a UC school. The problem is that I need two years of science with LABS. I only have one year of biology with labs, and my school offers chemistry with lab only during my senior year. But, if I go to this school next year I will be only taking chemistry and I do not want to waste my whole year doing only that (Paying 20k a year for tuition). As a result, I’d like to enroll at SMC during my senior year and get a headstart. But, I only get my high school diploma if I go to this school next year.

So, I was wondering, if I get a copy of my transcripts and you see that I have all the UC requirements ( except for chemistry), can I still enroll? Also, if not, is there any other route to take to get into a community college like SMC?

What is the big rush to graduate high school? Does your HS not have 6-7 courses you would be interested in taking and that are highly intellectual?

Since you’re basing your dreams on the school on requirements are you solely meeting those requirements? Take other courses, its a techer’s job to “make you smarter than when you came in”

If you go to a competitive enriching high school you will learn content and be all the smarter for it. If you go to a not so competitive public, you will learn life lessons that you won’t soon forget.

^^ just reread. so you understand what i’m saying. If you paid 20k a year for three years they must have been doing something right.
