If rejected: How to appeal?

I don't know much about the appeal process. Never really researched it. Can you even appeal? How would one go about doing it? I haven't received a decision yet, but I want to be prepared. What are the chances of getting in after appeal? Does anybody have statistics?

If you get rejected, they give you a nice FAQ sheet with instructions.

The only person I know that got in on an appeal is a legacy. It's definitely possible, but not very common.

Both my parents are alumni :) so far so good. I know chances are low, but i'm strongly considering appealing IF i get rejected.

yeah i was wondering if everyone got an appeal sheet... hopefully not lol but i'm assuimg they did.

when do people who appeal hear back?

i think it said somethign like april 15...but its probably not an exact science.

Numbers from last year:

19 out of 626

Yup, don't get your hopes up guys. (Not you guys specifically)

It's 41 of 626 actually, 19 for fall, and 22 for spring.

You hear back from appealing on May 15th.
Such a long wait...

oh yea your right i meant may 15th :)

if you actually do get submitted by appeal, what happens to the other college that you committed to? (deadlines to commit are all around may 1st)

you will have to commit to them initially but if you won the appeal you can withdraw you admission to the other university and enroll at USC....

what are the best strategies for an appeal. my bro is appealing his decision. He's thinking another rec, sending in his most recent quarter grades, and a letter.
